ABA Club Game Posting Procedure

The Southwest Section will attempt to publish Club Game Results on its Website. If it does not work out we'll try to find a different way. That being said, all SW clubs are encouraged to provide their club game results (but there is no requirement to do so). It takes some time and effort and skill. Keeping that in mind I am seeing what system will work best [which means that it needs the least effort- particularly mine]. So please bear with me. My current plan is to have something going in February which means that it is likely to be late February <sorry>. That does not mean that in the mean time I can't collect results <see what comes next>.

There will be three things that submitters will need to do:

  1. Create a file that will display what you want. If you use ACBLscore there is nothing to worry about- I'll format everything. If you use something other than ACBLscore you'll need to type something up the way you want it [I won't spend any time editing- that is the rule]. The format can be TEXT or HTM or whatever works. At the moment I am testing Excel [.XLS]. I can read it [probably because I have the program] but what matters is that everyone can read it. You can give feedback by going to the TEST RECAP page and clicking on a link.
  2. Name the File. Each file name must be 12 characters long and is made of three parts. The first two characters is a number between 00 and 99 that is assigned to the club that held the game (see table below). The next six characters are the date in Year-Month-Day format [yymmdd]. The next character is a period [.]. The last three characters are the file extension [txt, rtf, htm, etc]. When using ACBLscore just rename the file correctly and leave the extension alone.

    As a courtesy, I'll ask that incorrect file names be resubmitted (at least the first few times they come in wrong). I know it's a pain but I'd rather they arrive correct the first time.

  3. Email the File. Attach the file to an email to me [the email button] axman22@hotmail.com. Always use the subject line: ABA Club Game
